Give your child the best start in life with the magic of music!

TOTS IN TUNE is a weekly group for toddlers from walking age up to 4 years using interactive music interventions facilitated by an HPCSA-registered music therapist. These sessions focus on supporting your child’s all-round development, enhancing your relationship with your child and connecting with like-minded parents. Through live musical play, these groups focus on the following:

  • Assisting healthy emotional expression
  • Enhancement of self and co-regulation
  • Nurturing cognitive development and motor skills
  • Development of social skills
  • Promotion of communication and language
  • Building self-esteem

Each session includes singing, instrument-playing, and movement-based activities that encourage the integration of music into daily life and at home to encourage bonding with your child, and for their growth and creativity.

*Groups are kept small as activities are adapted and personalised to make sure each child can fully participate and have fun! Max 6 children per group.

Duration: 30 minutes

Cost:

Trial session – R200

Term package – R1500 for the full four-week programme. Commitment to the term is encouraged, as the sessions are progressive and attending to the end of the term will provide fuller benefits and nurture relationships between other children and parents.

This course will be presented by Caley Garden, an HPCSA-registered music therapist and professional violinist. She believes in the transformative power of music to facilitate emotional expression, enhance self-awareness, and promote healing. Caley has eight years of experience facilitating music groups for early childhood development and working with mothers in safe houses to bond with their babies, where attachment has been disrupted. Additionally, she works with adults struggling with mental health, children with psychiatric and cognitive difficulties and people with physical and intellectual disabilities. Through the integration of music, psychology and creative techniques, she provides a holistic approach that addresses the complex interplay between emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being.
